AARP has teamed up with the U.S. Census Bureau to encourage nationwide Asian Americans and Pacific Islander (AAPI) participation in the 2020 Census.
As the Census is now underway, we also now have available for widespread distribution two 20-second Census videos, “What is the 2020 Census?” and “How Do I Take the 2020 Census?” available in 18 Asian languages.
You can access and download these free videos for each language (Bengali, Burmese, Chinese, Gujarati, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Khmer Cambodian, Korean, Lao, Nepali, Punjabi, Tagalog, Telugu, Thai, Urdu, and Vietnamese) by clicking here
We need your help to inform and educate our community about Census 2020! The Census is critical for all communities and the data that will affect our lives for the next ten years. Please share these videos with everyone you know and partners who will benefit from resources that talk about the Census, the impact of accurate data on our communities, and how everyone can participate this year.
Our ask of you is simply:
- Disseminate these videos today to your family, friends, and networks to help us count all Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders. Please note these videos should be placed “organically” and not part of a paid campaign, due to usage rights. Donated media is welcome!
To help us determine how useful videos were, we need feedback. Send to Amy Chase at AARP (amchase@aarp.org)
- Who you have disseminated videos to
- Information about where and how you have been able to use the video
- Estimated # of people able to view
For more information/resources for the 2020 Census, please visit aarp.org/Census.
Let’s get counted! Thank you!
